On Wednesday, April 23, 2025, the Côte d’Azur FLAG (Fisheries and Aquaculture Local Action Group) brought together representatives from 23 partner organizations for its first Project Selection Committee under the new programming period of the European Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) scheme funded by the EMFAF (European Maritime, Fisheries and Aquaculture Fund).
In total, eleven projects received a positive opinion and will therefore benefit from financial support from the Côte d’Azur FLAG. Covering a wide range of topics such as innovative aquaculture, circular economy, marine habitat conservation, and combating poaching, these initiatives reflect the strong commitment of local stakeholders to the sustainable development of their coastal areas and related sectors.
The committee praised the high quality of the projects submitted and the richness of the partnerships between public and private entities, scientific institutions, local authorities, and marine professionals outlining the collective momentum driven by the Côte d’Azur FLAG.
