Members of the GALPA Côte d’Azur gathered for a steering committee to review the progress of the programme and discuss the next steps.

The meeting included a presentation of the national overview of the Community-Led Local Development (CLLD) approach under the EMFAF, as well as an update on projects currently supported across the territory. Several project leaders shared progress on their initiatives, including the Institut océanographique Paul Ricard, the Coopérative Maritime des Pêcheurs Azuréens with the project La Petite Fabrique, and Au nom de la mer, which was awarded the Galathéa d’Or 2025.

Committee members also approved the inclusion of the Département des Alpes-Maritimes in the GALPA Côte d’Azur Selection and Monitoring Committee, further strengthening the programme’s partnership-based governance.

The meeting concluded with a working session focused on setting priorities for upcoming projects, discussing how best to support project leaders, and preparing for the programme’s mid-term evaluation. Several emerging initiatives were also presented, highlighting the strong momentum around marine conservation and the sustainable development of coastal areas.
